How do I add a field binding to a template?

Do the following steps to add any slide binding to a template.

  1. Select the shape where you want to insert the field.
  2. Select the text that you want to replace with the field.
  3. Press the Add Binding button in the toolbar or press hotkey A.
  4. Select Field from the list.
  5. Fill out Binding Key and press the Ok button.

How do I make a list binding wrap around the entire paragraph?

When adding a List binding, make sure that symbols are shown by pressing the button in the top bar. The selection in the shape should then include the symbol. The binding will then wrap around the entire paragraph when inserted.

How do I add a shape visible binding to a template?

Do the following steps to add any shape binding to a template.

  1. Select the shape where you want to add the shape binding.
  2. Make sure no content is selected inside of the selected shape.
  3. Press the Add Binding button in the toolbar or press hotkey A.
  4. Select Shape Visible from the list.
  5. Fill out Alt Text and Binding Key and press the Ok button.

How do I add a repeat section binding to a template?

Do the following steps to add any section binding to a template.

  1. Make sure Selection mode is Off.
  2. Press the + button next to the section where the binding should be added.
  3. Select the Repeat binding from the list.
  4. Fill out Label and Binding Key and press the Ok button.

How do I add a nested repeat section binding to a template?

Do the following steps to add any nested section binding to a template.

  1. Make sure Selection mode is On.
  2. Select the sections and/or slides that the nested section binding should wrap around.
  3. Press the Add binding button in the toolbar or press hotkey A.
  4. Fill out Label and Binding Key and press the Ok button.

Why is display name grayed out?

Display Name is not currently supported for PowerPoint templates and is thus disabled in the UI.
